TradeLink ("we", "us", "our") operates the B2B trade platform at tradelink.in. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our platform as a registered company, team member, or visitor.

1. Information We Collect

When you register a company account, we collect:

• Company details — name, type, industry, country, address, GST/PAN/IEC numbers, website, and bank details you choose to provide
• Individual user details — name, email address, phone number, and password (stored as a one-way encrypted hash, never in plain text)
• Business activity data — products listed, RFQs posted, quotes submitted, purchase orders, and invoices generated through the platform
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and session logs, collected automatically for security and fraud prevention

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate your account and provide access to the marketplace, RFQ system, orders, and invoicing tools
• To facilitate trade communications between buyers and sellers on the platform
• To generate GST-compliant invoices and process payments through our payment partners
• To send transactional emails — order updates, quote notifications, invoice reminders, and security alerts
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
• To improve platform features based on usage patterns

3. Information Shared With Other Companies

TradeLink is a B2B marketplace, so some information is visible to other registered companies by design:

• Your company name, type, industry, country, and verification status appear in the Supplier Directory and on your public company profile
• Products you list as "Active" are visible to all logged-in users, and a limited preview may appear on our public homepage
• RFQs you post with "Public" visibility are visible to all suppliers on the platform
• When you submit a quote or place an order, the counterparty company can see your company name, contact details, and the transaction details relevant to that specific deal

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third-party advertisers.

4. Payment Information

Payments are processed through Razorpay and Stripe. We do not store your card numbers, CVV, or full bank account details on our servers — these are handled directly by our payment processors under their own security standards (PCI-DSS compliant). We store only payment status, transaction references, and amounts for invoicing and reconciliation purposes.

5. Data Security

• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored or transmitted in plain text
• All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
• Two-factor authentication (TOTP or email OTP) is available and recommended for all accounts
• Access to sensitive actions is logged in an audit trail
• We do not access your account data except to provide support you have requested or to investigate suspected abuse

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations (invoices and financial records are typically retained for 7 years as required under Indian GST law). Session logs and rate-limit data are automatically purged after 90 days.

7. Your Rights

• You can view and update your profile and company information at any time from Settings
• You can request a copy of your data or request account deletion by contacting us
• You can revoke API keys and active sessions at any time from Settings → Security
• You can opt out of non-essential notification emails

8. Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

TradeLink is a business-to-business platform intended for use by companies and their authorized representatives. It is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of TradeLink after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
